چکیده

In recent years, social networks have surged in popularity as one of the main applications of the Internet. This has generated great interest in researching these networks by various fields in the scientific community. One key aspect of social network research is identifying important missing information which is not explicitly represented in the network, or is not visible to all. To date, this line of research typically focused on what connections were missing between nodes, or what is termed the "Missing Link Problem". This paper introduces a new Missing Nodes Identification problem where missing members in the social network structure must be identified. Towards solving this problem, we present an approach based on clustering algorithms combined with measures from missing link research. We show that this approach has beneficial results in the missing nodes identification process and we measure its performance in several different sce-

A method to solve the problem of missing data, outlier data and noisy data in order to improve the performance of human and information interaction

Abstract Purpose: Errors in data collection and failure to pay attention to data that are noisy in the collection process for any reason cause problems in data-based analysis and, as a result, wrong decision-making. Therefore, solving the problem of missing or noisy data before processing and analysis is of vital importance in analytical systems. The purpose of this paper is to provide a metho...

Modeling Social Networks with Sampled or Missing Data

Network models are widely used to represent relational information among interacting units and the implications of these relations. In studies of social networks recent emphasis has been placed on random graph models where the nodes usually represent individual social actors and the edges represent a specified relationship between the actors. Most inference for models for social networks assume...
